GE's rebranding campaign, which will include other brands used by GE in this sector, such as GE Leasecontracts, GE Cochranes, Logéroute and CELT, will commence 1 November 2004. Effective 1 January 2005, all of GE's global fleet operations will be going to market under one brand only: "GE Commercial Finance Fleet Services".

The agreement between GE and Avis, which dated from GE's 1992 acquisition of the European corporate fleet leasing and management business of Avis, gave GE exclusive rights to use the Avis Fleet Services name across Europe until 2007. The operations impacted by this change are in Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and the UK. None of GE's other worldwide fleet operations have used the Avis Fleet Services name.
